Roofing Project Manager

 

Roofing Project Manager (AKA Superintendent or Foreman) – Positions available in Longwood, Odessa & Tampa area, Lakeland & Spring Hill)

Job Description:

The primary function of this role will be to supervise and monitor multiple residential roofing projects at a time. They will work directly with the Project Manager on all aspects related to projects in production. They will supervise and direct multiple installation crews to ensure timely completion of projects and quality work. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to make sound decisions independently under pressure as needed.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, organizes and oversees the daily activities of multiple production crews including any issues that may arise
• Oversees and trains individuals in roofing system installation
• Understands construction schedules and recognizes the importance of staying on schedule.
• Responsible for installing roofing systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner.
• Use of roofing tools and iPad for work purposes

• Communicates effectively with crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately and in a timely fashion
• Facilitates pre-construction meetings and coordinates projects with Project Manager
• Implements safety awareness and best practices within the roofing industry according to OSHA standards
• Other duties, as assigned

 

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1+ years roofing experience
• Thorough knowledge of roofing techniques and materials, safety techniques and OSHA/state regulations with ability to walk on roofs
• Outstanding communication skills both with client and crew
• Strong judgment skills with the ability to work independently and guide a team even when working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with adhered and mechanically fastened single-ply roof systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)

• Work Environment/Hours

• Day shift usually but with flexibility to work extended hours or weekends/holidays during peak times (i.e. hurricane season)
• Travel to all cities in Central Florida and surrounding area
• Outside work environment without air conditioning on roofs
