Water Mitigation Project Manager

 

General Job Description:

Water Mitigation Project Managers are responsible for controlling every stage of the water mitigation process to residential and commercial properties. They aim to complete projects on time and within budget, while ensuring that roofing teams work in safe conditions. To carry out their duties, water mitigation project managers require skills and experience in supervision, project cost and planning, in addition to excellent knowledge of roofing techniques and materials, they must exhibit leadership and management skills necessary to meet production goals and maintain seamless communication between field and office employees.

Salary: $40,000-$65000, negotiable and contingent on experience

 

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise Water Mitigation Technicians to lead safe and efficient roof system installations, oversee field staff and visit job sites to ensure work is accurate and timely
• Train field staff in safety (OSHA Standards), work skills, and efficiency; conduct regular safety audits
• Provide ongoing feedback to Water Mitigation Technicians regarding job performance at intervals of 90 days and annually for your department employees including salary reviews and disciplinary action as needed
• Resolve complaints and grievances with clients with superb customer service and resolve employee relations issues with the assistance of HR Manager
• Maintain an understanding of contract information for jobs
• Schedule employees/subcontractors, materials, equipment, deliveries, and paying special attention to using inventoried materials to ensure production and quality goals
• Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed within the parameters of budgetary allowance; Track labor hours and production in accordance to department goals
• Participate in regular review meetings with other office managers
• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Skills:

• Demonstrated effective project and people management skills

• Ability to motivate and direct the actions of others

• Excellent knowledge of water mitigation techniques and materials

• Outstanding communication skills

• Proven ability to work under minimal direct supervision.

• Possess a thorough knowledge of water mitigation legal issues and safety standards

• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated; ability to work independently but in a team environment

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client’s needs

• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

 

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background screening, drug screening, and DOT
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to climb on a ladder
• Must be willing to walk on a roof
